Consumption — analysis

The analytical view of Consumption answers three questions: whether the euro raised food prices (the basket split into cheaper, unchanged and dearer products), how the basket moves against official inflation (Eurostat HICP — food, energy, core), and how affordable the basket is relative to regional income.

The basket is a CPC monitoring index, not the official CPI. For prices, chains and the map see the price view; for the whole section, Consumption.
