On the 2026 state matura in Bulgarian language and literature, schools in Sofia region averaged 4.20 — №11 of 28 provinces, across 38 schools and 1,302 graduates. Averages are weighted by cohort; every failing graduate enters as a flat 2.00, so this differs from the ministry's own announced figure.
