Money held abroad

The property and interest declarations filed with the Bulgarian Court of Audit ask, for every bank account and every investment separately, whether it is held „at home“ or „abroad“. This page collects the entries where the declarant said abroad — from MPs, ministers, mayors, councillors and agency heads.

The question is asked in only two of the declaration's tables — bank deposits and investment funds. Cash on hand is never asked about, so this page does not describe all declared wealth, only that part of it. Magistrates are not included: their declarations go to the Supreme Judicial Council, whose form has no such field.

A country is named on only a small share of the entries — the register often accepts an „abroad“ tick with no country — so any breakdown by country covers less money than the headline total.
